Work in Progress

Hey guiseee,

Here's the linework done for a piece I'm attempting to finish today. It's meant to appear soon as a "pin-up" for a new comic series released through Image. More details to come as the release date creeps up. :]

Cheers!

Hey

For those who don't know me I'm Josh. I graduated from Ringling last year. For everyone else, sup :D. So I'm doing a illo about the recent-ish hijacking by somalian pirates and am finding myself in need of some feedback. Here's the sketch (I've done a little more since the scan but not too much) Any comments would help me a lot. Thanks a ton

PINUP n POSTER n PRINT for KITTY PRYDE SHOW!!!

Was a pleasure and honor to be asked to contribute to the FULL OF PRYDE show (A benefit for the Oregon Hemophilia Treatment Center) at FlOATING WORLD COMICS, May 7th. It's all for a good cause so stop by if you are in or near Portland area or know of anyone who is. Prints will be on sale of everything in the gallery as well as an auction on ebay after the show is done of all original art. All proceeds benefit the treatment centert at OHSU. There are some killer sneak peaks on display at their site and blog - fullofpryde.blogspot.com - and more to come so click on over to peep out the preview.
See you on the ebay auction!
cheers,
n

Colors

Process work from a series I'm doing for Allan Comport's Illustrated Book class here at MICA. It's a weird retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk. There's a couple places where a light's against another light or a dark against a dark that need to be addressed, but I'm really just trying to push some unexpected color relationships. There's some more process work from this on my blog as well.

Hellboy!

What timing! I just finished this one up a week or so ago, and since it satisfies the fantasy character topic its goin' here as well! I figured I needed a little somthin' somthin' in my portfolio with a licensed character in it, because as it is nobody would be able to tell by looking at my stuff that I could draw pre-existing characters. I mean, I guess really you could, but clients like to be extra-assured that you can deliver what they want. At least that is my understanding!

Thanks for looking peeps!

The Witching Hour

Our parents don't believe what we say about Olive.
Probably because none of them have seen what we have seen.
They haven't looked hard enough.

After all, witches usually only come out at night.
