hmm the illustration for rides mag looks a little confusing after you coloured it. I think there wasn't enough contrast in the strategic places. I find it helps to see the artwork in grayscale to check on the contrasts and that the important elements stand out nicely.
Thanks man. I totally agree with you. And honestly, it's tough to manage the color tweaking stage with rush jobs. Most of the RIDES Magazine illustrations only give about two days or so from start to finish (sometimes an extra day give or take), so I have to work quickly. Luckily, the art director is amazing to work with so he is understanding when the coloring takes an unfortunate route. :)
