Travel, travel, travel!

Hi all, just a few sketches from life on a short vacation to France I just got back from. I am about to start a project that depicts NYC so I will be doing lots of these there. Godspeed everyone!

Sketchbook Drop

Haven't been by D&S for a while. I'm seeing lots of good stuff on here!

Just unloaded the sketchbook. A little imagination and some life drawings. You can see more on my blog, not to mention there was a hefty t-shirt post a while back that I forgot to share with the D&S Crew. Looks like I might have to empty a another round soon.

Sketchbook Excerpts #6

Here are some recent sketchbook pages, and I hope to get a website update in next week. Stay tuned!

By the way, does anyone have any suggestions on how to get better scans? The weird exposure at the spine always annoys me!

Enjoy the Day,
Chris

AL WILLIAMSON... farewell

AGENT X-9 & FLASH GORDON

FLASH GORDON on PLANET MONGO

I guess the sad news have arrived everywhere now, that the legendary Al Williamson has passed away last weekend on the 12th of June.

I'm sorry that I don't have anything more thorough to contribute but these rather quick sketches. Al Williamsons art is always powerful and loaded with fantastic moments. It's not only to me, that his way out imaginations will be sadly missed.

Farewell and rest in peace, Mr. Williamson.

B-MAN figure drawing DC DUESDAY

Some quick schooling and tooling, flat out looking sketching and hatching. No really relevant lightsources or posture dynamics in this. I'm stealing (as in stylistic heritage - not actual pictures) from all kinds of sources here... Adams, Sienkiewicz, Toppi, Janson, Romita, Bisley, Simonson, Bernet ...but more out of childish admiration than anything else. FUN!
